Born in Guiyang, China Miss Wang received the first piano lesson at the
age of 3 and gave her first public performance in the following year.
She attended the Shanghai Music Middle School Affiliated with Shanghai
Conservatory, and later the Shanghai Conservatory, where she studied
with Prof. Chongfang Zhang, Prof. Chen Jiang, Prof. Jianzhong Wang, and
Prof. Hung-Kuan Chen.
Miss Wang has been active as solo pianist, as well as being in great
demand as a collaborator. She has given performances in Germany, Spain,
United States and China. During the years when she studied at Shanghai
Conservatory, she was invited frequently to perform concerti and chamber
music with Shanghai Philharmonic. In August 2009, she was one of the
selected young pianists to perform at Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
for the International Piano Festival.
Miss Wang received her bachelor and master’s degree in piano performance
from the Eastman School of Music, where she was under the tutelage of
Prof. Nelita True. Currently, she is studying with Prof. Boris Slutsky
at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
