Ms.
Jonie Qiuning Huang received her double bachelor degrees in
piano and electric keyboard from the Shanghai Conservatory of
Music in 2009, and furthered her master degree at the same
institution with audition exemption in the same year. In 2014,
she completely another master’s degree in collaborative piano
from the New England Conservatory under Vivian Wielerstein and
Cameron Stowe. In addition to her solo performances, Ms. Huang
is an enthusiastic chamber musician. From 2009-2011, she joined
the “Bai Chuan” Prize, played new chamber music written by
Chinese composers. In 2009, she was invited by Shanghai
Philharmonic to perform in Shanghai Grand Theater and Hangzhou
Grand Theater. In 2012, she played Maher's No.4 symphony chamber
edition with Shanghai Oriental Symphony Orchestra in the Maher's
110 birthday celebration.
At New England Conservatory, She is in frequent demand as a
collaborative artist working with the studio members of Donald
Wielerstein, Paula Robison, Roger Taping, and Kim Kashkashian,
Her duo and chamber collaborations have been the featured
concerts at New England Conservatory's prestigious Jordan Hall.
. In May 2013, she was invited by Maazel family and flutist Ben
Macdougall to give a concert in Castleton, Virginia. In 2013 she
was invited to join the Foulger Music festival as a staff
pianist. In 2014, she was invited by Banff music center as a
staff pianist. Since 2014, Ms. Huang has been a faculty member
at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
