Ms. Tema Blackstone (guest artist) and Mr. Hung-Kuan Chen have being playing piano duo since 1982 and have been musical partners since meeting at Boston University. Coming from Canada, Ms. Blackstone worked under Anthony di Bonaventura for her Masters in Performance and with Hung-Kuan Chen on her Doctoral work in Performance. Ms. Blackstone received first prize in the solo CBC competition, and the ARCT gold medal. She was the artistic director of Millennium 3 Recital Series in Boston and Artistic director of the “Connection” in Calgary. She and Hung-Kuan Chen will be going to Shanghai Conservatory in the Fall of 2005 and will continue teaching in Canada part time as well.
