The soloists

Monty Yi-Hsin Lin, violin
Age 16, Monty Lin is a sophomore at the High School Division of the National
Taiwan Normal University, majoring in violin and minor in piano. He was the
finalist of 2000 Taiwan Music Competition.

Anne Ying-Chieh Lee, violin
Age 16, Anne Lee is a sophomore at the High School Division of the National
Taiwan Normal University, majoring in violin and minor in piano. She was the
winner of the 2001 Taipei City South District Violin Competition, and also
the winner of the 1999 Taipei City East Region Violin Competition.

In-Soo Jung, piano
Age 15, In-Soo Jung is a 9th grader at the Yul Gok Middle School. She was
the 2nd prize winner of both the Eum Yeon Piano Competition, and the Teen
Ager Piano Competition in Korea. She also won the 2nd prize at the Mun Hwa
II Bo Piano Competition.


Longwood Symphony Orchestra

Longwood Symphony Orchestra "the orchestra of Boston's medical community," is composed primarily of health-care professionals. Each concert is designed to benefit a medically related Boston-area nonprofit organization . These organizations have included the Dimock Community Health Center, New England Hemophilia Association, and Massachusetts March of Dimes Foundation, among many others.

The Longwood Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 20th season in 2002-03 with a season featuring a world premiere by American Composer Christopher Culpo, a family concert of Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream" sponsored by WCRB-FM, and culminating with the beloved "German Requiem" of Johannes Brahms. Francisco Noya, Longwood Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Conductor

Born in 1955 in Caracas, Venezuela, Francisco Noya. Noya began his conducting career in 1976 when he was appointed Music Director of the Valencia Youth Symphony. Mr. Noya has also been Assistant Conductor of the Caracas Philharmonic and Assistant to the Music Director of the Teatro Teres Carreno, one of the most prestigious theaters in Latin America. He also served as Music Director of Opus, the concert music program of Venezuelan National TelevisionBorn in 1955 in Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Noya began his conducting career in 1976 when he was appointed Music Director of the Valencia Youth Symphony. Mr. Noya begins his ninth season with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. He is also Resident Conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and has served as Music Director of the Empire State Youth Orchestra and Symphony the Sea.
