Meet the Artists (alphabetically):

Ho-Yi Chen received her BA from the National Taiwan Normal University, and
her MA in piano from Manhattan School of Music in 2001. She will be on her
doctoral program beginning in September, 2001. She studied with Meng-Hsien Tu
and Rolf-Peter Wille. She is a student of Arkady Aronov at Manhattan School
of Music and Hung-Kuan Chen at Walnut Hill Music Festival.

Angela Yen-Hsuan Chen is a senior at the Affiliated High School of National
Normal University in Taiwan majoring in piano and flute. She was the 1st
prize winner of the 2000 Taipei City East Region Flute Competition, and the
5th place winner of the 1999 Taipei City Piano Competition.

Lillian Ti-Nen Chou is a freshman at the Skgsh High School. She was the 1st
prize winner of the youth division of the 2000 National Piano Competition,
organized by Yamaha. She was also the 1st prize winner of the Youth Division
of the 2000 Tainan City Piano Competition, and the 2nd prize winner of the
Youth Division of the 2000 Kaohsiung City Piano Competition, among other
honors.

Jessie Hsin-Ying Chung
is a freshman at Chung Cheng Senior High School
majoring in piano and double bass. She was the 1st prize winner of the Youth
Division of The Taipei City Double Bass Competition for both 1998 and 1999.
She was also the 3rd prize winner of the Youth Division of the 1998 Taipei
City Piano Competition.

Iris Yu-Rei Chung is a senior at Taipei Chung-Cheng High School. She was the
2nd prize winner of the 1998 Taipei East Region Violin Competition.

Amy Pen-Shan Hu graduated from Taiwan Women College of Arts and Technology,
and is a junior at Carnegie Mellan University studying piano with Mrs. Hanna
W. Li.

Mimi Pen-Lin Hu
graduated from Taiwan Women College of Arts and Technology
majoring in paino, and is a sophomore at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh
majoring in music technology and composition.

In Soo Jung
is a sophomore at the Yul Gok Middle School and the Preparatory
Division of the Korean National University of Arts. She was the 2nd prize
winner of the Eum-Yeon Piano Competition Junior Division, and the 2nd prize
winner of the Mun-Hwa IlbBo Competition.

Yung-Han Lee
started learning flute when she was nine. She was the 1st prize
winner of the 2000 Taipei County Youth Music Competition, the 1st prize
winner of the 1999 Kaung-Jen High School Concerto Competition, the 3rd prize
winner of the 1999 National Youth Music Competition, and the 2nd prize winner
of the 1998 Taipei County Youth Music Competition. She was a student of
Wolfgang Schulz and William Bennet. She is currently a twelve grader at the
Kaung-Jen High School under Sarah Wu. She is a member of the Joyful Orchetra
since 1998 and has performed at the National Concert Hall in Taipei.

Cindy Liang is a junior at Tainan Wemen Technical and Arts College, majoring
in piano and composition.

Caroline Liao is a sophomore at Nan-Man Middle School. She was the 1st
prize winner of the Junior Division of the 2000 National Clarient Competition
in Taiwan.

Hsing-Ying Lin received her BA from National Normal University and is now a
second year graduate student at the same university, majoring in piano.

Monty Yi-Hsin Lin is a freshman at the Affiliate High School of National
Normal University in Taiwan. He was the 2nd prize winner of the Youth
Division of the 1999 Taipei City Violin Competition.

Sabrina Poon is a student at the Mount Royal College Conservatory studying
with Hung-Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone. She has made two solo piano
appearances with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. As a competitor at the
Calgary Kiwanis Music Competition, she has been a consistent first-prize
winner for the past ten years. In 1999, she received first prize in the
Junior piano category in the Alberta Music Festival. She has been a finalist
and winner at the Canadian Music Competitions from 1995 to 1998, and in 2000
and 2001.

Yeol-Eum Son is a four time student of this music program. She was the 1st
prize winner of the 2000 Ettlingen Piano Competition, the 1st prize winner of
the 1999 Oberlin Piano Competition, and the 2nd prize winner of the 1997
Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. Currently she is a 3rd grade
student at Wonji Girl's Middle School, and at the Preparatory Division of the
Korean National University of Art.

Kuo-Hung Teng is a sophomore of the Pi-Hwa Middle School in Taipei, majoring
in piano and minor in viola. He received Yamaha level 7 certificate, and was
the 3rd prize winner of the Youth Division of the 2000 Stan-Bach Taiwan
National Piano Competition.

Xiao-Yu Wang is a sophomore at the Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and she
is also attending the New England Conservatory's Preparatory School in Boston.

Jeffrey Weng won the 2nd prize at the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey
at the age of nine in 1995. He studes with Sandra Carlock at the Settlement
Music School of Philadelphia, and has participated in numerous student
recitals there, and has also competed often. Besides music, he is also an
avid reader and plays tennis regularly. He wishes to continue music
throughout his life.

Ingrid Ying-Ting Wu is a freshman at Taipei Chung-Cheng High School majoring
in piano and minor in viola.

Harmony Yang is a junior at the National Experimental High School of the
Science-based Industrial Park in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan. She was the 2nd prize
winner of the 2000 Hsin-Chu City Piano Competition.

I-Jing Yeh is a junior at National Taiwan Normal University majoring in piano.
